This is what the biz needs: something interesting. Not sure how it’s gonna go, but this could be fun. :whew:

Impact gets some shine and Wrasslin fans have something to look forward to. :blessed:

If we can only get NJPW involved. :ohlawd:

Problem with NJPW is they may not want to put over talent for Impact or AEW. Their wrestlers will be going over.

They’re bringing back that territory system vibe

You absolutely cannot be mad at this

They just have to do a better job of explaining things, especially to people outside of their hardcore fanbase who has followed every small wrestling promotion. That's one of the reasons their fanbase hasn't grown at all.

For example, they have never explained "The Cleaner" gimmick and why we should care. I don't watch NJPW so I'm clueless like many.

So I'm like many people who have no clue about Impact at all, so It's going to take some explaining. Especially since Impact has a small fanbase.

They explained the Cleaner moniker the second time he did that entrance he’s doing with the brooms.

But AEW is making it kind of clear that you’ve got to watch at least BTE to get some of what’s going on. I don’t necessarily agree with that, but it’s something different. For example, they covered Matt Sydals botch on his debut in there and started a short storyline

It's not even solely that. They've made it clear that when they're properly on their job with certain angles, you can watch it like a regular ass TV show and not have to worry about 'Oh - it's wrestling - this isn't going anywhere'.

They've been teasing Kenny and Hangman's separate paths since Revolution in February and they finally took a big step forward with it tonight. They teased the fact that Kenny was moving funny style after they lost the titles too, and they delivered on that too.
