AEW: Lightning already being discussed over at TNT

All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite hasn’t even premiered yet, but a TNT official confirmed they’re already “talking about” producing an additional studio show with AEW.


Brett Weitz – General Manager of TNT, TBS and truTV – confirmed talk of a second studio show while speaking with TheWrap.

“I don’t know if you’ve met Tony Khan, but he’s not short of ideas — or passion,” Weitz told the publication. “So there is a world where we’re thinking about ‘Where does something like that live?’ Knowing full well that within the WarnerMedia ecosystem we have B/R Live, we’ve got all these different components at our disposal.”

Adding, “The more content for these fans the better, and we would love to figure out what something like that looks like.”

As we previously reported, Fox Sports will premiere a weekly studio show about WWE which should be starting soon. The show’s premiere date and name, however, have not been announced.

“It may not happen on October 2, which is what we’re all kind of gunning towards, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was something that [launched] shortly thereafter,” Weitz additional said in regards to the potential companion series. “We’re thinking about it for sure.”

All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite premieres October 2 on TNT at 8pm ET.

There's no reason not to. They could put a studio program on B/R and stream it for free and they could do some doc style shyt with HBO. The possibilities are endless on Warner's end it depends how deep they wanna get into this

They need to pump the brakes on some of this stuff. Have your first weekly tv show first, and do it consistently, THEN talk about whatever editions you want to make. They don’t need to go the route Impact went years ago where they kept trying to be WWE-lite. You don’t need to constantly have your version of what the WWE has.
