It may not seem like much because obviously people will tune in to see the what the new shyt is all about on the first show

For the debut of a new company vs. an established brand? Yes it is a win

The fact that Trips made the opening match of a weekly show, a match that should be the headline of a PPV, AND WWE sent one of its stars (the first Universal Champ) back to its developmental brand for a boost is very telling...

NXT only did 0.5 , plus there was a MLB playoff game, plus the last tuesday smackdown only had 2.0 million viewers themselves AEW first night 1.4 is not that bad

RAW only did a 0.89 on Monday for it's "season premiere". Plus the last Smackdown on cable last week did a 0.67.
