Both @WhenWeWereKings and @Asantehene both have the Jets going 9-7. What have the Jets done in the offseason that would be considered a significant move to make them better than they were last year?...Let's see ...

This is how i evaluate teams in upcoming season: Your starting point is your record last season factoring in over/under achieving. THen i look at additions and subtractions to your roster. Who have you lost that will impact you? Who have you brought in that will improve you?
When I apply these to the 8-8 record you produced last year and factor in aging players and others I dont see how the Jets will be much better than last year (which was a year i believe they overachieved by being 8-8)

All of what you posted is absent about the d line being that much stronger, Coples after having a full year under his belt, and the jets improved up the middle with the addition of Pryor and Amaro. Plus, Geno improved greatly as the season went on.
Respond to Jets fans and what they're actually saying. You responded to no one but make believe jets fans.
We get it. You're playing the role if enemy fan and want the opposing team to have ZERO HOPE about anything.

When i say Jets fans i dont necessarily speak of coli members. My ex GF is a Jets fan. My ex roommate is a Jets fan. Of all my cousins that live in NY only 1 is a Giants fan. The rest are scumbag Jets fans. Most of my neighbors when i lived in MIA were Jets fans who migrated south

Bills got a good team together if their QB can make the plays. Their D is good on paper and they have Gilmore who I think is a damn good Corner coming back healthy. Watkins gonna be a handful (Thank GOD for Revis)
Jets as usual will be solid on D, and have CJ2k, Vick and Decker coming in on offense.
Patriots toughened up their D with Browner, Revis. Mayo and Wilfork back from injuries too.
Oh...the Dolphins.

Your issue about Vick and CJ wasn't talked about by Jets fans. Stop trying to paint Jets fans are carelessly having hope around two players as if we're a stupid fan base.
I was just on NFL radio over the weekend saying the national media and outsiders have a greater fascination over Vick than Jets fans do. And it's being displayed in this very thread

I'm not even a Jets fan. I outright said I'm a phins fan but that does not make me delusional.
Jets got a good D (no homo) and Rex is the second best coach in the division. QB play really hampered them last yr. It's hard to see Geno playing WORSE than he did and Vick is a considerable upgrade over him. Vick's big concern is health. I still think he has something in the tank. They finished 8-8 last year. It's hard to see them going backward by that much unless there is a major injury or they give up on Rex, who they seem to love and play hard for.
Joe Philbin is not a good coach. There is no debating that. His non adjusting ass cost us atleast 3-4 victories along with Mike Sherman's stubbornness and god awful play design/selection. Thank god he's gone.The defense has gotten progressively worse under Coyle. (they finished in the top half of the league before he came but have finished 21st in total D two years in a row under him.) The LB'er corps was abysmal.
The O-Line was garbage last year yes they pretty much revamped the whole line but guess what, no one has seen them play a down. The only saving grace is it is hard to see them playing worse than they did last year. So you gotta believe they can only go up. (hopefully)
I actually like Tanny. Dude showed alot of promise behind that matador line even though he does has some bad qualities.......Like zero pocket awareness, unwillingness to scramble, late on throws and sometimes locks on receivers. (I won't hit on the deep ball accuracy just yet, let's see how he does with the new line first.) However, all of those are correctable and you must keep in mind dude has not been playing qb long. I think he'll have a great season if the line plays remotely better than they did last year and the coaches minimize some of his bad qualities.
The dolphins could go anywhere from 6 to 10 wins, should they make even minor improvements in some of those areas. They have too much talent to completely fall off the wagon but nothing exceptional that could dethrone the Pats this year. The poor coaching does not help. But if you've been a fan of this team you know optimism only leads to heartbreak. So they gotta prove it to me. If they gel and turn in a good/great season I'll be the first to say I was wrong and hand out daps.
