Kurt Cobain's albums weren't released through Kurt Cobain records and his estate is worth 10x more than Tupac's without nearly half of the material and without half of the commercial success
Tupac's contract with Death Row was 20 points. He fulfilled that obligation by the end of 1996 so unless they renegotiated for less there would be no reason the posthumous releases aren't still at 20 points or more . . and he should still be getting 20 points on the Death Row releases, All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. . however being that he had already fulfilled his obligation at that point a new deal would've been negotiated for the rest of the posthumous material to be released through Death Row up until Better Dayz - it doesn't matter that he recorded them there, he had fulfilled his contractual obligations and those songs were of his own intellectual property
