All those fighting age men ready to leave they women and children behind such cowards. And that’s what they are deciding to bring out here. America is doomed.
According to the UNCHR women and girls comprise about half of any refugee, internally displaced or stateless population.

Young men can handle a dangerous and risky trip like the one refugees are taking better than women and children. Another reason is that a lot of women and children die on their way to Europe.

Families that travel together in a big group have a harder time with the logistics, simply because it’s hard to look after multiple people. Also, no one would send their daughters and their wives to do this trip by herself.

This is not about saving men and leaving women behind, which is what many right-wing politicians and supporters are trying to portray. This is about trying to get everyone to survival without suffering. Images of children and mothers and phrases such as “among the dead were X many children and women” are being portrayed in media on a daily basis and somehow it is as if people have forgotten that men, too, have the right to survive. We can’t dehumanize men just because they’re men. They're also human. They’re also terrified of death.

People are fine with sending their lone son on a risky trip, they’re not fine with sending their daughter which is what creates the imbalance.

What has that got to do with anything? I’m just explaining why it seems like it’s mostly men that are trying to get away. In one of the videos it was like 60% men and 40% women.
Most are Afghan military

Finally someone who gets it. It's the centuries' old colonial racist view of the world in which non-white women must be "saved" from their men while non-white men are by default considered as violent rapists who basically deserve death.

context is all im sayin

afghanistan is not the typical abrupt, immediate refugee/mass displacement scenario like what type of reference leans on. people with the imperative and ability have been trying to get out of there since like the 60s and its far more compartmentalized than people realize too.

also the men might not give a fukk about their kids/wives the way many think but :manny:
