This was bound to happen. I could see the US backing them to create enough instability to prevent China from allowing their Belt and Road Initiative to kick off in Afghanistan.
they better arm them up because the taliban is roaming on streets with US weaponary and vehicles..

Won't matter. These people do not have the intestinal fortitude to fight for their country. You can give them all the weapons and surveillance you want, I don't think they're capable of recruiting the necessary manpower/willpower to topple the taliban.
