Islamist ? :usure: This isn't Mali, nothing has been reported to show they have any goals tied to Islam. They just happen to be a mostly Muslim rebel group. This has way more in common with CIV's conflict where the opposite sides were split between religious demographics although the conflict was not religious.

Also this is Africa breh the people in the Northeast of your country have a common culture and are often same ethnic groups as people in Chad/Sudan. How do you know whether they are foreigners or not? This reminds me of Ivorians claiming the Northerners were all Burkinabe/Malian etc.

I said pseudo-islamist for a reason breh, quote me right. And if they're pillaging/looting/raping Christians and not Muslims, I'll call them that way, i'm still hoping regular muslims wouldn't do that.

We know they are foreigners because a lot of those mercenaries don't speak any local language, including languages from the Northeast. So unlike Northern people in CIV who were really Ivorians with foreign origins, we're talking here about some local (centralafrican) rebel groups with a lot of foreign (i.e people who never lived in CAR) mercenaries.

All the languages, or close to it...
Nilo-Saharan[edit]
In Ethiopia, the term "Nilotic" is often used to refer to Nilo-Saharan languages and their communities. However, in academic linguistics, "Nilotic" is only part of "Nilo-Saharan", a segment of the larger Nilo-Saharan family.

My point is simple, if the people involved don't frame their goals in religious terms, why are you doing so? There are plenty of conflicts where two different communities with different religions are involved, that are not religious conflicts. An example that comes to mind is Sri Lanka where the Tamils were mostly hindu and Sinhalelse Buddhist. But no one would frame that conflict is a religious one. Just because Muslims are involved doesn't mean its a religious conflict.

Dar Es Salaam is working on a rapid- transit system right now and there is so much construction going on all around the city.Second fastest growing city in Africa after Lagos. Really enjoyed my stay there a month ago, one of my favourite cities in Africa. I think TZ is often overlooked in general because of their emphasis on Swahili. All the media and talk coming out of there is in Swahili so its not accessible for most international media.

Some photos of Dar:

I never said it was a religious conflict, because I know it didn't start out that way. It started out as usual, rebels vs govt, we've had tons of those. But the big difference this time is that a LOT of those rebels groups are foreigners, NOT central africans. And the other difference is that muslims were spared in the looting/raping/pillaging, while non-muslims were not. So I won't be PC and say religion has nothing to do with the conflict.
