you shouldnt compare apples to roast beef...

i hope ur not serious.

There are reasons why black america is only beginning to gain relevant skills on a massive scale.... No excuses here, but you really can't make positive change unless u know the history and causes of the issues.

sure that is how u improve yourself... but that is only a fraction of what we need for our communities.. shyt, i could buckle down today and gain even more skills... progress futher in IT and never speak to another black person a day in my life. How would that help anything?
He is serious that's the sad part.
He keeps this up. I might have to engage
in some :demonic: activities.

African American spending power has always been relatively high but the real tragedy is that we spend it on things of little to no lasting value. If the Libyans invested 1/10th of that into our education and betterment, I wouldn't be sounding like the beginning of a Dr. Narcisse line.

Good post breh. I think practicing group economics puts more food on the table for each group now. We have to take care of today and build for tomorrow. People wonder why the Chinese man can go anywhere on the planet and succeed. Its because he practices group economics. He starts a business that caters to the needs of the local population and he will spend his money first in Chinatown before he spends his money in another community. That is why he is not begging dominant groups of other societies for a job or for welfare. I don't think there will be anything such as a post-racial society. It will take more than mixing races to stop racism.

As far as FUBU, that folded because unfortunate whites saw the potential consumer dollars they could get from blacks and bought it. A company like that could have evolved into something bigger. Expanding from urbanwear and going business wear. FUBU could not grow with me like it could have. Now, I prefer stuff I could wear to work and go out to on a Friday night. I think black designers to have added their own flare to my type of clothing options as a grown man. But on the other hand, if we are going to spend money on clothes regardless of who makes it. We should be able to have our own stores that we can shop for it. At least in cities like Atlanta we have those kind of boutiques and they create jobs and build wealth in our community. I don't blame an Asian or Latino for deciding to spend his money with his own people first. That is not racist, that is being smart. Ain't nobody going to take better care of your house, than you.

Black people threw away their own businesses for the sake of social integration. We owned more banks under segregation than we do now. We threw away the Negro Leagues so that one black player could in the MLB. We should have merged instead or told the MLB to kick rocks. The ABA merged into the NBA, I didn't see these cacs throwing away their teams so that Dr J can play in the NBA. We need to start understanding that our concept of social integration which other groups could care less about is what is keeping us from being economically independent. That is why blacks rely on whites to employ us and give us opportunities...meanwhile a Sikh with a turban on his head has no problem getting a job among his people.

Even if segregation came back, the likes of Hispanics/ Asians, etc. would still be in our communities cause they technically minorities to the white man. WHat black folk need to do is stop being so hostile to one another and learn the lesson of humility when we achieve success as a group.

1st Round Playoff Exits
I took an a race and ethnic relation class in college and my professor showed groups in America and how they aggregate their money in their community. Jews were the highest followed by South Asian and East Asian. African Americans were at the bottom. It is no coincidence that these same groups also dominate a disproportional number of those in STEM fields. These communities were had a higher index of self-segregation in their daily dealings with other groups. It was weird to see that the groups that segregated more also were more successful as a group. That always stuck with me from that class until I started thinking deeper about why. We have a self hate mentality when it comes to dealing with money.

During the times when we had our chances... the 30's... then again in the 50 n 60's.. .that self hate came through so hard that Any one of us who tried to detach from the mainstream, speak on real issues, try to form a separatist movement, or dare to speak out against the Church (not christianity, but the church)... They were attacked harder by black people than by the crakereist of all cac.

Even in 2013... The majority of black people would reject someone like Malcolm X.... Which is crazy because all the other ethnicities had their Malcolm's times ten - and were accepted and followed with open arms. Especially the Jews.

And if someone even talks that shyt they are a clown or pseudo (fill in blank). It's more comfortable to pretend to be Americans.

Lol @ the fact that black folk still think that "hustling" is going to the workforce and build someone else's dream. I ain't hear of no employee becoming wealthy.

There is no such thing as consumer power in the black community. You stop buying nikes, they rebrand/remarket it to someone else and you're no longer a factor. :snoop:

Lots of wealthy people were employees at one point.
80 percent of the wealth in America is already locked and tucked away for people that arent of african descent friend. Its legacy dough. Those people got rich, In their own communities.

Black people dont have communities, they have neighborhoods.

You think you're going to get rich in someone elses community? Very rare.

Employees is not where people should STAY. CAN'T build wealth by being an employee until retirement.

This is an opinion.
Not that I disagree.

and I dont believe that you "cant". Many of the employees at Facebook became multimillionaires when the company went public, and now have opportunities to acquire wealth that they didnt before.

Employment is a stepping stone.

Its easy to get sucked into this guys pro black shtick, but he's a tool, and knows it. He has said on many occasions that he will not debate his "facts" and positions, because they are not open to debate...:heh: as if whatever he says is axiomatic, and should be taken as such.

No way can he be taken seriously.
