What would AA music even sound like if thousands of free Haitians didn't come up north to the 'south' In the early 1800s?
Haititans made New Orleans, N'Orleans

Haititans brought the Rhythms that led to jazz, rock and funk so when ADOS brothers and sister came outta chains they had a culture to vibe with and mix with the spoken word freedom songs

Being divisive is pointless not trying to take away from ADOS accomplishments but not acknowledging the reality is silly
Absolute nonsense

@Supper
GTFO....jazz ain't got sh1t to do with Haitians:russ:

jazz was born in the uptown section of new orleans to people with gospel, blues and ragtime traditions. The guy that birthed this mix/new sound was Buddy Bolden whose people came from Virginia

from the musicians who were there during the first generation of Jazz' creation on how/where it was invented

Bro I haven't been able to find any evidence of some "haitian or cuban" sailor musician crap they say influnced music in New Orleans particular of black americans. Have you?

This rhythm the Tressillo LITERALLY means triplet in spanish.............That's it.

Triplet rhythms are literally found ALL over africa, including north africa and in Gypsy music in spain. So, how the hell do they think we got something as basic and widespread as that from some damn mostly white and mulatto haitian immigrants in New Orleans?

:what:

:what:

because it never happened...it was bs conjecture that white jazz historians pushed in a attempt to de-afroamericanize Jazz' origins that always falls apart when you listen to the oral account of the first generation of jazz pioneers. repost below

The lengths many white jazz writers and even some latino critics will go to put their names into the origins of jazz

Alot of false info out there claiming this guy below was Mexican/Latino and using this false info as proof of latinos being Jazz founders:camby:

Dude was Creole of Color native to New Orleans whose fam migrated to mexico and then came back to New Orleans. Slick white/latino music critics tried to paint this dude as a Mexican to lay claims as Jazz being some sort mongrel music that comes from various nations:mjlol:

The south had a rich cultural history a LIFETIME before ADOS was free....when ADOS was in chains, couldn't be on the street, wasn't allowed to play instruments yet they somehow started shyt :mjlol:chattel slavery ended in 1865....thats late af...shyt had been popping for decades in the south shyt like Blues, Ragtime Proto-Jazz was the puff daddy ADOS remix to what Caribbean blacks were doing for about a century Trinidad and Tobago was EARLY with damn near the whole culture as far as bringing it together like Hip-Hop did do some research I love ALL my people and ain't trying to put one over the other so I see shyt clearly we ALL played a part

Wasn't the same type of slavery they worked us to death and kept getting more slaves which led to a population shift so we were able to take over

they took ya'll knowledge of who ya'll really are and brainwashed ya'll

The whole ADOS movement is just a GAY movement in blackface but ADOS has such low self-esteem they don't have the balls to call it out for what it is so they just mindlessly follow like they always do....never thinking, always emotional, never creating always taking
