Yes theres some bullshyt in US, Canada, UK but if you think your family has a better future going back to Africa you are in for a wild surprise. There is soooo much more opportunity in US, Canada, UK. Not to mention education, healthcare etc.. you have no idea how good it is.

I've lived on 4 continents and in the end when it comes to raising kids and supporting a family, nowhere is better than North America.

For real though, I think every black person needs to go to Africa atleast once...living in Westernized countries, even though some of us were born and raised there...it's not for us. Actually those DNA tests don't really tell people what they think that they are being told. The DNA tests given by these commercial companies only get samples in certain places like Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal in West Africa. Those testing companies don't typically get samples in places like Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso or Niger. On top of that they only take DNA samples from certain ethnic within those countries, like the Yoruba, Akan, Mandinka, etc.

Since those companies don't get DNA from all over West Africa and from all the ethnic groups, then they are not giving accurate results. Those tests are based off of less than 2,000 samples, so they just basically end up saying that your DNA looks similar to a particular region or group within a region; which does not mean that a person is from Nigeria. Case in point is this Cameroonian man that took a 23andme DNA tests, but since 23andme don't have samples for Cameroon; they assigned the man to Nigeria and Congo.




So African Americans taking these tests need to realize that those tests are not accurate because it is giving autosomal results that just assign your DNA to a region that matches it the closest. The African Ancestry DNA test is probably the most accurate, because they have over 33,000 samples from tribes all over Africa and they only test the X and Y chromosome. African Americans ancestors are from all over West Africa. Nigeria was not one of the places that most African Americans are from, because most slaves from Nigeria were taken to the Caribbean and South America. Most African American ancestors on the other hand are from the Rice Coast (Sengal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea Conakry and Sierra Leone), Windward Coast (Liberia and Ivory Coast), Upper Volta (Mali and Burkina), Gold Coast (modern day Ghana), Cameroon and Congo. Slaves were taken from Nigeria and brought to the USA, but not in nearly the volume that people think.

So Deontay Wilder may not have even been Nigerian, but since they don't test in places liker Upper Volta then he was probably just assigned to the Nigerian region.

Its not really about them not having samples from Cameroon,as there is nothing in your dna that says "Im from Cameroon". The ancestory test mostly only test for how many feautures do you have in common with a certain group. Which is pretty ridiculous and these so called experts know it as well,but I guess its a nice cash grab. Surely geneticist under stand that certain groups migrated and mixed with other groups,some of which were already mixed. And on top of that the black man is the original man and we embody all of the features known to man. Plus most companies don't test all of your dna last I read. Message to the youth,don't let them convince you that you are 30% European or whatever the percentage last was. I’m Ghanaian and I wouldn’t say all that seems about 10-15 years when it really started to hit a stride and blew up in the last 8 or so , I will say Ghana Seems like it has no ceiling to the progress it can make now, When I was living there for a year about 16 years ago I did start to notice a lot of asian/Ghanaian kids.
