Up there with one of the worst takes on this site. Un-ironically, trying to hold Africans responsible for the trans Atlantic slave trade is a common ws talking point, so I guess its on brand for TLR.

Because of tribalism/warfare they probably viewed it as just selling their enemies, doesn’t excuse the practice but helps put things into context

Africans knowingly sold slaves stop with the BS they are equally culpable as cacs.

No one is saying African didn’t sell slaves because they clearly did. Unfortunately slave trading was and still is a common place business transaction. However while the Africans who participated saw this as a business opportunity to or a means to protect themselves from other slave trading rivals, Europeans were looking to create a permanent underclass to build their empires. The culpable heavily sways in the direction of cacs. Calling this a "self- imposed" L is extremely disingenuous and it undermines the maliciousness of 16th Europeans. Especially since this Europeans mindset would be their MO for the following 400+ years.
Europeans didn't need African slavers to kidnap Africans. They were going to do it anyway. They originally tried conquering the African coast before Rulers started agreeding to establish land and trade deals which included raiding other Tribes. Africans and Europans didn't set around and say, "lets look these nikkas up". It was more or less strong arming into being a supplier.
Its like blaming Native Americans for their own genocide because they willingly chose to interact with Europeans...instead of suiciding into an objectively superior army. You missing the trees for the forest or a ws agent.
