this can only work in Kenya(and Tanzania and some east african bantu countries) though because they are kind of docile and friendly, so he hasn't got smacked up yet

Hahaa bantus are not docile and even then Kenya is a mix of nilotes cushytes bantus etc. It depends where he's doing at. I recognise some of the places and its just mostly people lining up to take the bus after work. There are certain areas you can't take out your phone in peace without risk.
