I wouldn't be surprise if there is a video out there of Africans randomly rapping back in the 50s...

African cultures is the foundation of everything. Blacks took that foundation while in new enviornments and used it to innovate and create new things. The issue is people dont know history or sadly lost touch with certain elements of their culture thus they dont recognize the connection.

Africa is the root and the source of strength for blacks globally whether they want to admit it or not.

Lot of yall really out of touch with black history

Hip hop is A beginning, not THE beginning....and really just another culmination of the black essence. No need to default to the Bronx for an origin of black folks dancing wild in america

Its never been a secret that bboying was nothing more than an extension and evolution of dancing traditions of the past

Hell miles davis said people used to have dance battles outside of jazz clubs for money and caps of heroin :mjlit:....sound familiar?

And our historians have always made it proudly clear that the africa was the source of our greatness, nevermind some random fleeting commentary...thread already taking a wierd turn

See my post about Africa being the foundation providing tools that helped blacks globally create new things unique to their new experiences.

Of course some people will try to turn this into ā€œsomething elseā€ but thats their problem.
