After 7/19, is it impossible for Smackdown to suck?

2005-07 smack down wasn't very good either honestly. That was when they started trying to bury Rey since he was little and over and Eddie was dead by then too. Was also when they tried forcing Khali on us as a top heel too :scust:

:dahell:

Was t until July of 07 that Khali actually won it. Before that you had King Kurt, Rey, and Booker. Not to mention London & Kendrick, MNM and all of the other tag teams. Plus you had Benoit and others in the mid card. Smackdown's wresting was STILL league's better than anything on Raw. I could make the argument that it didn't start getting bad till 09

The whole culture of smackdown gotta change for it to succeed.

Knowing the wwe`s track record tho I think they'll probably fumble this resurgence even with a stacked roster at their disposal.:mjlol:

Wwe is so inconsistent and it's crazy cause they got 50 years of experience under their belt so you would think that they know better by now, but:yeshrug:

Is he wrong though? :comeon:

There might be a shyt load of talent at the moment, but none of them are stars. Guys like Zayn, Crews, Corbin etc are popular and are really good wrestlers but are nowhere near the star level of Rey, Eddie, Benoit, Taker, Booker, Edge, Batista and others that made Smackdown so good back in the day.

Like RattleGOAT said, lots of bodies, talented bodies; but not great depth like WWE thinks there is.:sas2:

A live SmackDown, with the right roster and legit feuds would be awesome, but we know whoever gets over on SD will just get traded to Raw to fill up those three hours.

That's due to wwe creative and declining popularity
The most important part of building stars is having talent
But as a fan u should be excited for them having talented wrestlers to entertain which they have plenty of on the roster

:what: 09'-10' era Smackdown is the closest Smackdown ever got to repeating the 02'-04' Heyman era, with heel Jericho and his rivalry with Mysterio, straight edge society Punk, Jeff Hardy in his prime, Edge and Undertaker.

USA is not Syfy or UPN.

Y'all trippin if you think USA is just gonna let them keep half-assing Smackdown.
I'm not necessarily saying they'll half-ass it but it definitely won't be set up to beat Raw, or deliver a better quality show.

Yep. There was a report a few months ago that said USA wanted it to be as big or focused on as RAW.

There sure as hell ain't gonna be another boom period.
Will it suck? I'm sure it will have its bad episodes here and there. I have hope it'll be good, but only if they put effort into it and not give up 2 weeks in like they usually do when Smackdown has a big change. Hopefully the rosters are even as hell and not like some one sided bullshyt where RAW gets all the good stars.

Hell nah. 2009 IMO is the best period Smackdown had since 2002/2003. That Summer for the show was phenomenal. The Punk/Hardy feud and Jericho/Mysterio stuff was top notch. Smackdown didn't start to become trash till 2010 when they put the World Title on Swagger, drafted Edge and Jericho to RAW, Jeff left and Punk getting depushed.
