My body is starting to adjust and now I'm getting sleepy around 8 or 9 which is good because now I'll be getting closer to 7 hours of sleep.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
I might be on to something:ehh:. For those of you unfamiliar with the Miracle Morning; It's a book by Hal Elrod that speaks of the importance of waking up early and doing daily self improvement rituals before starting your day. Also, if you're a wage slave with higher ambitions, you need to be sure to work on YOUR dreams first. Not after a long days work and a hectic commute but first thing in the morning when your mind is fresh. That's when you're prime for creativity. One of the biggest take aways from the book is, "Your level of success seldom exceed your level of self development".

Since I have such a difficult time falling asleep I've averaged about 4.5 hours of sleep per night in the last week. But I've also had more energy than I've had in a long time.

My routine is supposed to start at 4AM but literally every morning I've been so excited to get started my body has been waking up at 3. Here's how my routine goes.

3-4AM Wake up. Family silently in dream land :ahh:. Drink some water first. The grogginess we feel in the morning is partly due to dehydration.

10 min of meditation/ silent refection.
10 min exercise- push ups/sit ups and yoga stretches.
10 min reading a book
10 min affirmations/visualizations. Yes I have a vision board
10 min of journaling. Daily goals, long term goals, ideas for my business.

Then after that I either work on my business or Udemy. I've completed a HTML/CSS course now I'm moving on to Python and Blender. I hired a guy on upwork to help me but it didn't work out so I'm learning to do things myself.

TL;Dr: A solid routine might be my missing link. I have accomplished more this week than I have in the last couple of months, pulling overnighters some nights. I have a hard time sticking to shyt so this thread is going to be my accountability mechanism. It's kind of new agey but I just need something that works. I know for a fact the commas are coming but it's up to me to develop into the person I need to be too attract it.

How much time do you give youself in the morning before going to work? Your lists above takes up about an hour but it doesn't include you actually working no your goal

that's bull. a lot of times there are things going on around 9-11 that you want to be a part of, i.e. sports, nights out, going down the YT rabbit hole, etc.

The most difficult thing about this all is giving up on those things for the sake of waking up early and spending 2 hours on yourself

About 2 hours every morning goes to direct development of my product/service. I dedicate another 2 hours after work reviewing what I did that morning. If something comes up in the evening or if I'm cloudy and can't focus, I'm covered because I've already met my daily objective. The routine is what gets me out of bed. I keep it fun, now I'm jumping rope on the patio at 4:15AM, eating fresh fruits and veggies or drinking a smoothie. Once I do all of this and take a quick shower I'm 100℅ alert. Jumping out of bed and jumping right into tutorials and instructional didn't work for me.

Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want more.

I need to work on this. My alarm went off 3 times this morning before I decided to even open my eyes. Didn't even have enough time for breakfast. That's my fault for sitting up at 1 am Googling "How much sleep do you REALLY need?" Instead of just going to bed when I had to be up 5 hours later :dead:

Gonna get the book and see how this goes.

Woke up at 5 am today...I didn't do shyt but the potential is there...

But I'm off today so I took like a 2 hour nap just now.

How the fukk do you stay awake all day??

Everything is hard before it's easy. The night before last was terrible. I woke up around 1AM with the overactive mind. Eventually fell back asleep but 4AM rolled around seemingly minutes later. I made it through the day yesterday, crashed around 8PM. Got 8 hours of good sleep. 4AM rolled around and I was :blessed:

This thread could be something powerful if it keeps going. Did a dry run this morning

-Woke up at 6 due to overthinking/anxiety

Listened to a Ralph smart video to get me motivated (cool youtuber on a positive vibe)

Wake and bake ( habit I'm trying to stop but it helps with the anxiety)

Wrote in my journal app about things I want to do today both professional and personal. (Get x amount of work done today/ have a convo with a stranger)

Read ( it was news, gotta get a book today )

Meditated with deep breathing (by now my

high has worn off so I was clear headed)

Push ups/ body squats

Self affirmation In the mirror
plan on making a vision board today.

I'm going 30 day straight about to make This a habit. 2017 let's be great brehs :blessed:

I have been planning to get into the routine of doing this. Hopefully will start tomorrow. I aim to be up at 530-6

You should consider giving sports and YouTube up if it's a distraction or at the very least limiting how much sports you take in (only watching one NBA game a week instead of 3, or only watching the highlights etc)

That's what I plan to do but do you

Ralph is the truth. I've been following him for a few years. I encourage everybody to at least try a morning routine. Nothing teaches you self discipline like forcing yourself to get out of bed in the wee hours of the morning.
