I would not take no job that requires me to commute other then commuting to the job and back home.
I get an extra $500 a month in vehicle expenses. But it’s still not worth it and current gas prices make it damn near a wash.

fukk this subforumWhat?
OP literally posted in the locker room where we just commiserate and have discussion about random shyt. This thread isn't different.
I relocated back to NJ from Charlotte last summer. I was doing taxes tax season dried up. Wifey was stressing me about not working so I said fukk it and got a job.
Since I’ve been at this company I’ve gained 20 lbs, got COVID and the work/life balance was ass. It was 60% travel so I’m driving into New York 3 days a week, plus 10 other locations in NJ. The company is a mom and pop trying to act like their big time. I wasn’t trained properly, so I was giving presentations not knowing half the shyt I was talking about. Every month I have to fix mistakes the accountants make on financial statements. And the most of the clients for the accounts I manage are a$$holes. Finally, the managers… well most of the account managers under me are incompetent.
So I’m going to get fired on purpose after I reach my one year anniversary so I can get my 3 month severance and unused vacation. Then I’m a start a mobile detailing business. I formed it in March and got most of my equipment. Just need to get a van and I’m good. I already have 6 clients lined up, one of which is one of the accounts that I manage (luxury apartment building). I made a deal to detail resident vehicles with a 80/20 split.
This working for other people shyt, I can’t do no more. Employees bytching and complaining, deadlines, unrealistic expectations from corporate who don’t do shyt but get paid like kings and queens. I got a property under construction in Ghana and when complete it will make that Airbnb $$$.
What drove me to this is simple. I asked myself, where do I see myself in 5 years. Do I want to be here in 5 years? Would anything be different? Easy decision.
And for anyone wondering how much it pays.. $92,178.33. Still not worth it.
