He almost plays the same mundane character every movie(except BP-Kilmonger)
Kind of like how Sam L. Jackson plays the same guy excpet for when he plays Nick Fury and Mace Windu
Will Smith was versatile, still not the best actor to me but more versatile. Poitier and Washington are in their own leagues.
Where do you place Jamie Fox? Imo he’s more versatile than all of them.
Will isn't that versatile. Denzel isn't either. Most actors fall into an archetype either by their own doing or the game.He almost plays the same mundane character every movie(except BP-Kilmonger)

Jamie Foxx seems to have avoided this.
The bolded fits his role type of "Hero/World Saver".fair point, I only called will versatile based on the rolls he played with Dr. Nevill(sp?) and Dr. Omalu, Tousaint, and the guy from Enemy of the State, and Richard Williams. Some of those rolls you can tell he was trying but struggled a bit. I thought he did Richard Williams pretty well.
Does he really? And this can be said about most of the other names. They'll have deviances but 80% of the type there's a typecast.MJB plays the same character in every movie he's in
