phone: if you are keeping the internet, then..
i'd port the phone over to tracfone's minimal plan (the 3x one)
buy a basic phone for $10 or $15
$20 for 3 months of service ($6.67 a month)
for gas, costco saves about $0.15/gal (in my area)
against a $60 annual bill ($5/month)
so the break even is 30-35 gallons a month
after that- you save on gas (plus have access to shop)
a costco card is also good for trading small favors with friends
for food, use the most relevant ideas people have given you to cut $50 from food
those 3 three things will save you $100/month
...on the flip side, i'd start doing small things to either bring in extra cash (or generate "useful" free stuff)
make a target of $100 a month
do whatever it takes it first,
then keep activities that you like or that are fairly passive
these ideas have already been discussed on coli, just as examples
ex 1: if you have wifi and an android 4.4+ phone/tablet
there are apps that play videos in exchange for walmart gift cards
ex 2: sell small things you don't need on ebay
..it never hurts to have a valid/working account with good reputation/history on standby for later
ex 3: go to that site that has class action rebates
do you see anything that might be applicable??
also, it mostly depends on where you work and how you spend your time
a friend of mine is an hourly manager at target..
he picks discarded receipts up off the ground and later that night scans them into walmart's "savingscatcher"
cashes out $30+ a month in walmart gift cards

Where are y'all growing up that you can't stretch 300 dollars for 1 person for food?
That's literally 10 dollars a day. You can get a whole meal for 10. I'm talking a pound a beef, spaghetti and noodles and eat that shyt for 3 days and that's still only 10 dollars.
A box of cereal and gallon of milk is a week or two of breakfast and that's not even 10 dollars
I got money now. So yea I spend heavy and eat good food and waste shyt and not give a fukk. But when you GOT to survive. Well I can get resourceful real quick
