People aren't going to vote or be swayed by "do this because I say so" . I personally agree that given the consequences of a Trump presidency, it makes logical sense to vote for Hillary and hold your nose on your issues with her. But I'm someone who is deeply engaged with the issues in this country. The goal is to get less engaged people and even people who don't vote to vote for your candidate.
