I thought the TMAC1's were fly when they first dropped
i don't think tmac lit the world on fire shoe wise like grant or ai.
plus, he had to deal with a cousin who was scared of sharing the spotlight and getting surpassed.
so, he never got that rub he could have gotten from vince.
later on becoming the nike new it guy and him being his cousin's new scottie at the one.
if he would have been embraced by his own cousin and his cousin was willing to be surpassed and share the spotlight in toronto.
i feel he would have had a significant shoe deal and designs and would have permeated way more.
plus, i feel adidas was in that era of tech where they really did not and still don't know basketball shoes.
as he came on to adidas i wanna say when duncan had those catapult style knock off shoe that cost like two hundo.
plus i wanna say they cost 2 bills before any jordan was priced at that price.
so the 2bill price line then was oft putting and tmac's shoe looked and felt inferior in design to the duncan with the crazy tech.
so, his eventual injuries just like grant's made any design sus and eventually his shoe never really popped.
mj had the luck of the mj one and the 63.
then, also the aj ii was manufactured in italy and completely broke all rules from manufacturing.
to even white backed italian leather to the thick hair italian backed leather and minimal markings.
so, when he got hurt, plus the crack epidemic and change of price.
the banned and mystique of jordan never ruined whom he was.
nor ruined the brand or the shoes from permeation.
also back then, trying to get a shot of mike's shoes with a good decisive look was hard back then.
to the point, in every injury vid that recaps the situation...you never see the shoes.
that crop life.
