I look at myself when it comes to relationships as the owner of a company. I've hired janitors, line workers, and supervisors while not putting up much effort, and they served a purpose. But when I meet someone that has the qualities of the CEO (of my company), we can break a little bread over dinner and discuss things, instead of telling her to show up on Monday ready to work. I really don't care how much effort the previous firms she worked for did in recruiting her.
