they are/were much more like stage philosophers/political talker than stand up comedians. they say things that make more sense than actually being funny

Dave Chappelle's career has pretty much been shytting on cacs.

i haven't watched his last live from last summer......he more of a social commentator now then a comedian imo. but his energy has changed...he looks more depressed and voice sound rusty, while in his old joints he was full of energy and more creative....he still the best comedian out though.

Chappelle going conservative isn't really the issue. My issue with him is that he's turning his stand-up routines into political debates/discussion. That's not what people are looking for in comedy. He's basically rightwing Hannah Gadsby:

at the end of their careers they were just angry, not funny i have no interest in listening to chappelle go in on trannies

and i agree with him on the issue. im just not going out of my way to listen to it
