The thing is he was such a great performer and dancer that lots of people forget that his singing was fukking amazing. Don't think I've ever heard him off key or out of breath ever in any performance. And the voice itself was smooth as hell.

I love Mike as much as the next music lover, so I mean no disrespect to the King, but I'm almost positive he's lip-syncing in a lot of those 80s performances

People that don't know shyt about hip hop culture were shocked when he did that..but the moon walk is a old break dance move...turbo from breakin used to come over Michael Jackson's house so he could teach Michael how to moon walk..nikkas been moon walking since the 70s....

Agreed with the bolded, but actually......Jeffrey Daniels from Shalamar (and former Soul Train dancer) taught Michael that dance. He did the moonwalk on Soul Train YEARS before that Motown special. Michael SAW that Soul Train airing and reached out to him and his crew.

Turbo may have come over and shown him some stuff, but Jeffrey Daniels is the one who actually inspired him to do it and initially taught him to do it.

Michael was very much interested in break dancing, particularly poppin'. You can see it all in his dancing.
