After watching videos on the Detroit, Chicago & Baltimore school districts, how can it be fixed? Honestly--all bs aside.

The secret to why Asian children excel over westerners is because their parents de-emphasise social engagement and force their kids to rote learn instead of thinking critically.

Limiting distractions that would lead to inertia and procrastination

Asian parents would give their children books as a gift. To soak up knowledge, retain their memory and remind them the price of being educated.

In the states, we promote leisure time over studious time
You don't have to de-emphasize socializing it is very important. Those Asians kids are book smart and socially awkward. There needs to be guidance structure and balance. There has to be learning time and some level of skill upgrading that is fostered directly from parents outside of school. Once kids get into the right habits a parents job becomes easier. If education is not a cultural thing you will have kids that don't gel in their group because of mixed priorities. Their friends got nothing but leisure time. A parent has to watch that as well. Kids can't escape peer pressure. Best thing for em is to have friends with similar values. That's why education as a cultural thing benefits Asians. It is to them what sports as a culture is to brehs. Education can be the same way. And it would spark some interest if they saw that pivot where everyone around them was on the same type of time

And Asian Americans tend to do well in the states as compared to white kids, because white kids parents don't take education that as serious. They're incapable of it. That's why you had rich white parents bribe school officials to get them in.

But the end result for Asian Americans is the realization that no matter how well they do on tests - white people want to limit their numbers in the formal paths to wealth and power. (And I might add that same rote memorization that's present in Asia proper, is a lot of the same stuff in the states)

Incidentally, being locked out of the most selective institutions is literally the same thing that happens in their own country - but it's not racism there. It's about POWER. It's usually not a good idea to have too many people in college - they tend to become problems to the power structure.

The Asians still end up over educating themselves, over working themselves, and not really making the GPD gains that all that brain power would suggest.

And for the Asian males that succeed, at least 1/3 of their successful Asian female partners bed down with Trent and Lance.

So the Black Boys in Baltimore and Detroit (and everywhere else in the country and the globe) - have more than just inattentive/ignorant parents.

It's much much bigger than that.

But the Black community does not want to deal with that. Folks talmbout generational wealth via buying stocks and crypto, keeping the family in the house - when that's not wealth. That's certainly not power.

That couple in Montana/Wyoming that own a farm? When you got agents of the state trying to remove them legally/semi-legally - they need an army to keep that land. Black people been deprived of land for centuries - legally and illegally. Through concerted economic effort - some obvious, some not so obvious.

Plenty of Nigerian Petroleum Engineers come to the States to make money. Yet their indigenous petroleum industry (and down stream petroleum products like plastic) are not up to par.

So they have the education, there is wealth in the country, there are natural resources - What's really the problem?

Folks in this thread, educators, policy makers, politicians, short term business people, they are are really thinking small as hell, imo.
