I'm a Nas fan too, but Jay's quotes are a part of the way people speak in everyday life.

I hear people repeating his lines in just casual conversation. Just random days chillin' in the barbershop, or standing around just coolin', I always hear people using his lines to make points, lol. So many of them have become a part of how people speak now.

Same :myman:

Vol.1 might be in my top 3. Where I'm From, A Million and One, Imaginary Players, Friend or Foe 98, Rap game crack game, Streets is Watching, You Must Love Me are tough. I even fukk with Sunshine, it was just the video that was trash. I Know What Girls Like is WOAT though.

Word.

I copped RD and IWW on the exact same day in '96, lol. They dropped like a week apart or some sh*t. Back then, there wasn't any choosing sides. We f*cked with everybody that was dope. Nas fell off first, to me. But they're both pretty much tied in my Top 10.

"Clunker" is a VERY nice way of putting that.

Yup I bought IWW first at Tower records, technically my aunt brought it for me lol

I got RD like a month later

But yeah same here, at that point there no side picking for me and my friends either

He stumbled for a second, but the cool thing about Nas is he always had a few gems that kept you interested and checking for his albums

They bootlegged RD so crazy, that more than 1/2 the people I knew had copies before it even dropped. LOL!!

But I wanted the "real one", so I went and picked it up when I got the Nas. My allowance back then, as a kid, went to buying CD's and records. All day, lol. We didn't want to miss out on any music! You had to cop everything.
