Yeah, if you rasterize your image or use negative space effectively, it'll feel close to nothing being on it outside of the texture of the ink. You'll also want to use a silicone "T-Seal" sheet to do the final press with to get that effect you're looking for. Before buying the printer, I would either recommend going to that facebook group I posted and purchase a test shirt from someone (the larger the design, the better) or buying a good heat press and ordering some preprinted transfer sheets of your designs and then pressing them yourself. I forgot to mention that white toner printing can also do stickers and other various forms of packaging products.
