I got this from the Calvin Johnson thread. You're the bright light on a shytty squad and you're in your contract year. You ball out as usual and FA is about to start. You feel like your old team still wont be shyt. But they offer the most money. Other teams are looking at you, they are the usual contenders and then a few who are on the come up but they're not putting up the same money as the bums you've been with.

What do you do?

If you take the championship instead of the money all you'll be doing is selling your rings when you're 40 :francis:

See this is my thing. Why not take the money and why is it frowned upon when an athlete takes the money? You're never gonna get paid like that at any other job.

Championship easily. I'd rather be a let's say Pippen than a Barkley or T-Mac.

If you're talking nfl, money. Not to mention w/ franchise tags its hard for great players to get to the open market. So its difficult for star players to go to a better team when they're young.
