Kings are a trash run organization so this isn't breaking news:yeshrug:

They gonna blow the pick anyways but tbh if they get in the top 3 they need to take Ball or Fultz and hope they just wanna play.

But this the Kings we talking about they will have the 9th pick like always so none of these "top players" gotta worry

1.Get drafted by the Kings.
2.Put up great stats.
3.Sign a max contract with the team of your choice.

The Kings shyt is understandable. That Celtics shyt is :scust:. You don't want them to go there because there are too good...because you would actually have to come in an earn your spot and if you aren't up to it they won't hesitate to ship you out? :dead: If you aren't ready to beat Marcus Smart or Amir Johnson or Crowder or Olynik or Bradley out for a spot then you aren't worthy of the top pick.
nba players especially rookies are going to have a hard time outplaying vets or better yet being respected more than productive vets. that viewpoint imo is very solid especially when you could go to a team like philly and help lead the franchise from day one. you also have many more opportunities of fukking up without facing consequences; its a no brainer, of where your client will have better chances at the 2nd max contract .

No one said it was completely absent or magical. Just that top players weren't shook by the likes Marcus Smart or Kelly Olynik. I could see if we were talking about the Warriors and even then a true competitor is gonna come in and try to prove themselves and earn a spot. I agree that it's not all the players fault that they are accepted as raw projects. It is the players fault if they aren't up to competing and delivering on a squad that will demand that of them. nikkas would rather put up stats while copping Ls or sit on the bench with even less opportunity to develop on a shytty squad than work and compete on a possible contender. That is a sad mentality, especially for supposed franchise players.

You must really hate Marcus Smart, there are not many rookies who can come in and have an impact as great as his for Boston.

I don't think you realize how many young players Boston has that aren't even in the rotation. The Brooklyn pick will either be Fultz, who will get starter minutes day one, or traded for a "superstar".

The players that will have a hard time getting minutes (even if they beat out one or two guys) will be the ones who are selected with Boston's other picks.

We got zizic yabu coming for sure

Nader our second round pick was NBA d league 1st teamer

If we add a player it'll be with that Brooklyn pick everything else would either be a stash or part of a trade

I think the Celtics just need to make a decision between smart and Bradley for the long term (and admittedly Bradley seems like the keeper)

That'll open up minutes for whoever we pick

I think you can make an argument for Jackson or Tatum

But I'm out on Lonzo

I don't like Jackson's fit in Boston.

Tatum could work but he is not capable of being a #1 option, and once IT leaves then you are in this situation again needing another star.

Fultz will be able to take over as the franchise player once IT is gone, you won't have to worry about putting quite as much talent around him.

I'd be shocked if Isaiah leaves Boston

It's more of him being 28, he's got 5 years max at this level, probably less. If you take Tatum then you're really gambling, especially if it's at #1.

If it's not #1 then I don't see why you shouldn't move it for PG or Butler.

That's not true, and never has been. There are plenty of players outside of the top 5 who can contribute to an NBA team, especially this year.

There are NBA level defenders like Kadeem Allen that will likely be around in the second.
Y'all say this every year and every year these players never matter like @portcityplaya is saying

Depends on their confidence level in signing somebody (Hayward) in free agency

If they feel like they can get him (they probably have an idea of his interest level thru back channels with brad) then you want to use that pick to get another big next to Horford
