He was too reckless to be Brock status. But I don’t think a lot of people remember how over Ahmed was from 95-96. Dude was a mega face that the fans loved, and had Vince’s backing. If he was more controlled in the ring like Impact Lashley instead of Ryback, he 100% would’ve been the first black WWF champion
In the 90s fans were amazed at the Vader bomb. Most of those fans would have been frightened at someone looking like Ahmed doing coordinated flying. Someone like that never existed before, plus he was legitimately a Dallas Cowboy

All that is true. I was a huge fan as a youngn.
But he could have never put it all together. Even with the right training some guys just cant do it. And i think Ahmed was one of those guys.

GWF, this smaller promotion in Dallas. I actually remember ESPN showing random episodes of this sometime between 2009-2013 and thought it was pretty random
He was over as fukk and the crowd loved him. He got lazy and let himself go, didn’t help that he was injured a lot too. Back when he was IC champ I was sure he was gonna be WWF champion.
