This show needed some script fixes. Sabine hasn’t seen Ezra in like a decade, he doesn’t even get a hug. It was ridiculous.

8 episodes probably means there's at least two of them could've been 1 ep but it got stretched out so they could fill up the quota. Happened in season 1 and basically every show except Mando S1 and Andor.

That may be true, but as a fan of her going back to the Farscape days it would have been nice to see Disney break her off the bread to make the role worth it for her.
