Like it or not, it's inevitable. Humans can fight it all they want, protest, push for regulation etc., doesn't matter. An evolving hive mind of all the world's knowledge that gets exponentially smarter by the day is inevitable. Look at the Will Smith spaghetti video from 2023 and now look at Sora 2 videos two years later. This is like the horse and buggy industry trying to fight against cars, pointless. With that said, it'll probably be five to ten years before full AI games are possible.

And all those games that heavily rely on it are gonna feel soulless and flop 
AI tools in game development are 90% of the time gonna be used to cut corners and lower costs, not innovate or do anything meaningful. We've already seen how American AAA publishers get down for the past 2 generations with this shyt. Regardless of what you think of its "potential", in practice, it's not gonna result in better games just because it's advanced tech.
And full-blown AI generated games where you're not actually playing a game, but rather a fast-paced predictive frame generator, is whack as fukk and the equivalent of AI Slop videos to me. I REALLY hope those don't become popular or successful in any way

A lot of games already feel soulless because the humans producing them have to follow tired formulasAnd all those games that heavily rely on it are gonna feel soulless and flop
As long as it sells most companies don't give a fukk about a soul
And an AI that literally only knows how to replicate something based off the formula it was given is going to be any better? It's even more creatively bankrupt, all your assets are going to be made up from pieces of other peoples actual work.
The games might sell off hype but they won't have lasting power or evoke the same emotions to the player as an Elden Ring or Ocarina of Time, or even NBA Street
Imagine listenting to all AI music and watching all AI content. you will feel fukking awful after like 30minutes max
