This. Im unsure as to why it isnt showing all your data usage but 16gb phones are pretty inadequate in todays landscape..especially considering you only get about 12gb of that

Why isn't your music showing? You have to wait a couple secs for it to show up.

You must have a lot of cached data or something...

I would first try connecting to iTunes and see if that corrects it. Try rebooting, too.
If that doesn't work, try going to iTunes and buying an HD movie...something like The Martian since it's 5 gigs. When you try to buy it, it won't allow the purchase because you don't have enough space, but it will clear cached data. If you keep doing it over and over, you could possibly clear up to 2gigs of space. You won't buy the movie unless you have more than 5gigs free, so watch that.

Why the hate? Most people's reasons for having all that storage is for pics and videos they not gonna keep looking at and apps they won't open or use. I've seen quite a lot of "what's on my iPhone" videos where people had tons of apps they never use or either a ton of selfies. Y'all sounding like bratty 13 yr old girls in here.

On iPhones there's some sort of setting that when you mass delete messages, photos or music it doesn't trwally truly delete them for some set amount of time. They're like cached in a recently deleted folder or something. You might have to reset the date and time on your phone to get them to show up, and then actually delete them. Look this up online

Only way to fix it is a full backup and restore.

My phone and ipad do the same shyt...I don't have any music or movies on them, and they'll always get down to almost zero space left.

Best bet is to delete all your messages, esepcially if your gif game on point. I freed up 4GB on my ipad just deleting the messages, even though it said there was only 300 kb or some shyt
