Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Was in asia the entire month of feb.

Aside from the airfare…

Brought 5 racks cash. Depleted by third week.

Then took this whole week off too and my first day back is today (kinda dreading it).

Didnt even look into my cc statement for random shiit like luggage fees, Grab (the orients answer to Uber), hotels, recreation, food, etc).

On top of that, medical expenses because i was sick three weeks out of that month (severe cough/whooping cough, fever, nausea cuz of intense motion sickness… and on the last weeknd, food poisoning that rendered me incompacitated my last few days there… and to top it off, got back to the states on monday and contracted the flu the next day… just getting over that Saturday).

Traveling really kicks your ass if youre not well prepared.

Being more immodium ad, electrolyte packets and multi vitamins. Keep that immune system strong.

And dont drink the ice!!!

E.P.A., California
Uber
Airline Luggage Fees (Had A Suitcase over 60 lbs they wanted 100 alone for it)
Food
Activities
Currency Exchange (depending on where you’re going)

Etc
I don't do vacations to hella faraway places. People really overlook the amount of fun things you can do in your own state or hometown.

I dig it but this shyt was long overdue. I had some extended family that hit 100 so it was a pretty big deal. My only regret was I didn’t book to arrive the night before and leave the next day. As I get older I realize more and more I’m REALLY not into being anywhere else but home for extended periods

Nice sights tho

Take advantage of credit cards that offer travel points for signups use them should cover half of your flights. Use another should cover half of your hotels. For ex my amex gold I have 70,000 points (700 dollars), another cc I have 35,000 points (350 dollars), another cc i have 30,000 points (300 dollars). Use the 700 one for the flight, use the the other 700 for expedia then downgrade the cards before the annual fee is added :blessed:

Take advantage of the airport lounges with those same cards so you can eat up don't have to buy water or food at the airport.

  • Pack light so you only need a carry on
  • Buy a sim card in advance or at the airport so you don't use your data
  • Any big airport for example in europe has a train to the city no need for an uber, and if it's africa uber is dirt cheap anyways
  • If staying in a big city in europe try and find a hotel on the outskirt of the city that's near transit and only takes like 15-20 min to get into town you can save major than just stayin in central/downtown of that city
  • look for hotels that offer free breakfast as well part of packages
  • If staying in europe just use transit I've never have had to use a cab or uber in any european city
  • In african countries ubers are dirt cheap anyways so I don't mind I remember when i was egypt a 40 min cab ride was like 10 usd
  • If eating out at restaurants don't eat at places in tourist traps as they charge extra.
  • Activities buy in advance is usually cheaper, many times if I'm there for a short while I'll just bite the bullet and do a guide from trip advisor. You pay one fee but in that fee you get lunch, travel to and from your hotel, a tour guide
