Yes cause 400 dollars for a 10 pair of shoes is just how business works. And most times you wear the shoes what once or twice and then just throw them in the closet in anticipation of the next 400 dollar pair in the next few months. What's worse is your not even paying for quality, but for the name alone.

What $400 pair shoes are you referring to? I thought this was about jordans? With anything you buy, the maker has to pay to pay for the materials needed to make the product, workers to manufacture the product, pay for shipping the product, pay for advertising the product, then the company that wants to sell the product has to pay licensing fees, shipping advertising, Etc. So if you sold the shoe for $10 you'd be losing money, and there would be no company to speak of. And that's why there is an MSRP on most items. Nike isn't making a $180 profit for every pair of jordans sold.

you couldnt turn your ankle in them but you would get dropped completely if someone crossed you good ... it was pretty much all or nothing cause they were so wide
