I can’t imagine a woman in her late 20’s expects to be a stay at home mom. What does that look like when kids are gone from 8-3 Monday through Friday. She didn’t even mention home schooling. Unless buddy is making 120K+, she’s out of pocket.

Every little bit counts and if you don’t want to contribute to the household, consider making money for your son’s college fund, cars when they hit 16, Christmas and birthday gifts, and extracurriculars.

If I marry you, I accept your b*stard boys. I will raise them to be men through discipline and example. You still need to realize they aren’t mine. You need to help provide for them as best as you can. We need to prepare for our future and an additional income can help with that.

I mean i was half joking when i said that. Thats a common phrase that stepdads use. but what im saying is, by stepping up i mean she's going to try to run you and see what she can get from you. this is what most single moms mean when they ask you to step up. they look at the life you can provide and they decide for you what you can handle. she just so decided its time to be a bum. this is ultimately why she's a single mom.
