You guys are selling Chad short.

Still the ONLY player in the history of the NFL to lead his conference in receiving yards for 4 straight years.

:wow:
True. He was a beast. But he had TJ and Henry to take the pressure off of him for a while. Plus he had Carson. Who even with one knee shyts on Dalton's existence.

People forget Chad had TJ Housh gathering 800+ yards a season opposite him, posing a legitimate WR2 threat that DCs had to respect.

Couldn't part of tj putting up numbers be Chad demanding more coverage and Carson being a better kb than Andy Dalton?

And what Chad doesn't have athletically he makes up for with skill... Definitely a better route runner than most receivers we've seen

Chad was great but guys like Ike Taylor would shut him down all the time. AJ Green has been shut down before, but he's such a genetic freak that you have to put your life on the line to stop him.

Of course. But I happen to think that TJ being a better WR opposite Chad than anybody AJ Green has ever had helped Chad in some of his routes on passing downs.

And I mentioned that AJ has shytty Dalton throwing to him. And still putting up top WR numbers throughout his early career...

Also, I see everybody repeatedly talk about Chad and his elite route-running ability in this thread, but what about AJ.

Speed?
Strength?
Vertical leap?
High-pointing the ball?
Hands?

Again, it seems like the only edge Chad has over AJ Green is route-running.

II would give Chad the edge in hands... Its kinda like how Jerry rice didn't have "physical advantages" over a lot of receivers but he was more productive because he ran great routes and caught everything.

I'm not saying Chad has better physical skills... But I don't think AJ will have Chad's production over his career
