AJ never fighting Fury or Wilder is unconscionable

2010s was the worst era when it came to mega fights. We missed Kovalev vs Stevenson, Garcia vs Lomachenko, Spence vs Pacquaio, AJ vs Fury, AJ vs Wilder, Thurman vs Spence, etc. I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting.

It’s one of those things where boxing is a business first, sport second. He just had too many options where he could make a lot of money against guys that were viewed as less of threat.

Hearn probably would have got around to it once they were done making money against all these other guys. Obviously this approach sucks as a boxing fan, but it makes sense from a business perspective.

Both AJ and Wilder are to blame for the fight not happening. There was a chance to make it happen when they were both undefeated but Wilder wanted a 50/50 split and AJ wanted more than 50 so it fell through. That's where AJ fukked up since he's the one that wanted to be undisputed not Wilder.

Besides that it was Wilder that refused to make the fight happen. Eddie was trying to make the fight before Wilder vs Fury 2 but Wilder chose to fight Fury instead. Wilder has admitted this himself and Eddie confirmed it

There is a difference between Wilder getting fed up and moving on with his career and AJ straight up ducking cause he was scared.. They didn't make the fight even after Wilder left PBC.. Even after Wilder signed to Matchroom.. That is some deep seeded fear AJ had of Wilder

Wilder also getting dragged by Fury also put the breaks on it.. and especially now dude is basically done.

AJ can still get a Fury fight if he hasn’t checked out of existing in the boxing world (saw vids of he being shytfaced and carried out a bar after Usyk ).

But AJ vs. Fury would be great to set up a big fight for Usyk. I still think Fury can beat Usyk though… if he doesn’t fukk around in the next fight. Idk if AJ got the boxing skills needed against Usyk.

A lot of these dudes need to be fighting each other though. Wilder is done imo… getting KO’d last fight, losing to Fury clearly affected his mental health.. which isn’t a shock. He’s probably not fighting another Top-5 heavyweight again… maybe not top 10. He could fight Ngannou though, that will sell and it could be a confidence boost if he wins.

Wilder was trying to cherry pick and thought he was gonna get a washed up Fury and Fury turned the tables on him… then beat him 2 more times which eventually put that fight in the trashcan. There was no point of fighting if they both lost their belts

They were both on Showtime at one point, and I think they made AJ an offer with no conditions really attached but Hearn took him to DAZN. Hearn was telling every fighter if they wanted a fight against AJ or Canelo they would have to sign with DAZN.
