Give him a match to tear the house down that is how you build a legacy. Forcing someone in a title pictures does nothing for him. Having the best match does.. You don't need a title.

It won't matter when a fistful of matches are presented as more important and there won't be any lasting consequences of his match. Every show stealing wrestlemania match was still presented as a big deal. None of them were billed as the sixth most important of the night. The lowest promoted show stealing match I can recall is HBK vs Jericho in 2003 and that was presented as maybe the 4th most important match of the night behind the title matches and rock vs Austin. It'll be forgotten even faster if it's against Shane. He's remembered for 2-3 matches that have already happened a very long time ago and his best matches all took place while punk was still in ring of honor.
