Going against Shane McMahon at WM isn't midcard. It shows that he's well-liked and they have a lot of faith in him. In their mind, they're giving him a good spot on the show.

It will probably be a fun garbage match, but I would personally much rather see him in a position to deliver a great pro wrestling match rather than a silly sports entertainment match.

This 100%. It's the equivalent to if Charlotte was facing Stephanie McMahon and no title was involved. Sure, it's a high profile match, but it's not at all the match you should have, and you're facing another part time wrestler, one that's even less part time than the actual part time wrestlers.

You should try going back to actually read posts, as there were a ton of people saying he got a rocket strapped to him and the fact that he sucks at promos. You whine more than any person on here and even with that, Reigns is a failed project who doesn't have nearly the personality nor mic skills that the WWE swears he has. He's beaten everybody and is on what's his 3rd restart??? He's had more changes to be "the guy" than Nate Robinson has been on NFL teams, and he simply doesn't have the charisma and star quality like they think. He looks like a star, but that's about it.

You mean like how they've booked literally everyone since 2005? I went from optimistic about wrestlemania to 100% apathetic as soon as styles lost. Vince and Stephanie will never embrace something they didn't create and force on the paying customer. Talking about he's a nobody and just a guy from Georgia and then beats him in ridiculous fashion. I don't want to hear anyone ever complain about triple h burying guys again without mentioning cena first. He's literally won every feud he's been in since wrestlemania 20 and lost I think 2 pay per view matches clean (rock at mania 28 and styles at summerslam 2016). HHH at least put over Benoit, Batista, Cena, and sometimes orton all post 2003. Who has cena put over and helped make a star?
