He did the right thing for Punk and Bryan so I can only hope he will do the same here.
Lol Cena never did the right thing for anyone. The few times he's lost, its usually because he's injured and has to recoup. And he doesnt use it to put put his opponent over or even tell a story, instead he uses it as more of an excuse and makes it nice and clear on-air that he was already hurt going in so thats why he lost. Even with Punk they had throw in that little distraction, couldnt just let it be a clean win in his hometown. Then he was treated as being above the title during his reign and of course Cena won all their future matches clean.

bingo. in 11 years, he has never once cleanly put over anybody, yet he's gone over at least 10-11 different guys, and he's buried countless more with his promos. every single person to work a feud with him has looked worse at the end, and been tossed in the bushes afterwards by management. I think they've had him win legit every feud he's been in since 2005 as well. I stopped watching when he's on tv in 2008, and everything he's done since then has reinforced my reasons for it. ratings were in the mid 4's when he was made into the top guy, and they're regularly in the low 2's now, and the one constant is cena being the top guy who goes over everyone no matter what the best booking decision is. He's been regularly getting booed out of the building in spite of being the top "face" since Eddie Guerrero was alive, and he's still being forced on a dwindling audience. dude is jeff jarrett status as far as being a fraudulent top star.

Brock and Rock are the only two that didnt have some sort of excuse tied to them. And of course he got his win back over Rock and pretty much "won" the fued since he won their last match and got his title back at Mania, redeemed himself and then Rock went away again.

I cant even be intrigued about the brand split because while people are talking about it being a chance to showcase the deeper roster they have now, I know the real reason they're actually doing it is so Cena can be superman on one show and Reigns can be superman on the other. There's your upcoming Mania main event(s) too. :scust:

:mjlol:

Did you forget the storyline behind the first match. Vince was not going to let Punk leave with that title so he puts that stipulation on Cena win or fired. So Vince being desperate wants the screwjob,Cena as his character is supposed to do is not going to win that way the distraction costs him that match. Vince realizing what he's done calls on ADR to cash in the mitb but Punk stops him leaves with the title.

The second match title for title Punk won that clean. The third match was on Raw Cena cashed in the MITB and Punk won because of Big Show. The fourth match on Raw Cena won.

Please tell me again how Cena won all their future matches clean when at that time Cena was 1 for 4 against Punk since the pipebomb. Tell me how no story was told in those matches when the narrative was Cena couldn't overcome Punk. He had to bring out moves like the Cenacanrana oops I mean Frankensteiner (@Scott_Steiner) to try and beat him.

The Cena hate narrative is the dumbest narrative I've ever seen watching this shyt.
People who say Empire is a good show make more sense than Cena haters.

He did the right thing for Punk and Bryan so I can only hope he will do the same here. They should be able to crank out a MOTY contender.

It would be a new low if they brought AJ in as the hottest face in the company, made him the number one contender to immediately lose to Roman after throwing everything at him, make him turn heel, get demolished in one line by Cena, then make him lose.

But then again...... :ld:
Owens also beat him clean first month

I won't watch it...

...but on paper, having series with the two top booked guys in the company...

...is hardly a burial.

He's being positioned as the second top heel and will help transition into the "new era" (of Smackdown, at least) as a foil for John Cena.

Royal Rumble entrance was actually solid. Number one contendership and a program with Reigns, which was a hell of a surprise way to continue after a paint-by-numbers entry feud with Chris Jericho. WrestleMania appearance in the same year he had a 4.5 star match with Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestle Kingdom 10

Styles Clash on a chair should have been death, but other than that blatant neutering of a finisher...it's been countered by the highlighting of the Phenomenal Forearm.

I do also think The Club looks shaky still.

Are you guys wanting AJ to be the face of the company right now or something off a few months :mjlol:

He's cooking against top guy and the only slip up has been him losing at Mania and Roman no selling to win matches. They turned him because they don't want him to be over Cena but it's a blessing in disguise because his biggest draw was the leader of the Bullet Club. And it works here because BC are faces in American and heels in Japan so if the E can play that split up like they do with Cena anyway.

I'll say:

AJ wins the 1st match, probably after The Club gets involved
Cena wins the 2nd after interference from The Club and The New Day
Cena wins the 3rd clean

Match 3 will probably have a "The Club" is barred from ringside stipulation:jbhmm:

And it will be an I quit match :sadcam:
