I didn't give anyone an out. I gave the situation a focus. It's not just rappers. Rappers since the inception of the industry have emulated what fans want. It's not complicated. Meek wouldn't be meek if he didn't reflect what the culture values. The culture is around you might not be yours but it affects you.

If rappers emulated what fans want there would be more Drakes, Coles, Kendricks.
@Sir Richard Spirit had this right on the first page :damn: should put these in your post cuz they think you a hater

I’m not even speaking on they homo activities. If that’s them then they should be them at all times.

I think it's worse than that to be honest. I've heard this nonsense at the barbershop since I was a kid, I heard it in high school, I hear it from former friends, etc. It's pure self hatred and a coping mechanism for failure. The minute someone has success, some bum wants to know how they attained it. It couldn't possibly be attained via talent, hard work, or dedication. It must be that you did gay shyt, or you danced for white men, or you betrayed your people, etc.

I haven't mentioned a personal achievement at the shop since I graduated college and my (former) barber said I spent 4 years learning white man knowledge instead of learning how to hustle. He was selling Amway out the trunk of his car at the time, mind you. Brehs hate each other so much that when they aren't killing each other, they're resenting each other's success. This is what happens when a large percentage of what you consume - from political messaging to community messaging to music to films - fosters a perpetual victimization mindset. When all you hear is that you're a victim with no agency, why wouldn't you resent the next black man who looks like you but has more. It doesn't even have to be monetary, it can be as simple as having a family. Or showing affection.
