@King Jove just posted a 20 minute video of the guy saying he's running a 60 second ad breakHe runs 4-6 15 second ads, which usually equals roughly 1 minute per hour. Not 1 ad per hour.
He also has an option to run them in clumps, like other streamers at the end of the stream (see disguisedtoasT) that would fulfil their obligations without a crowd.
im only a twitch affiliate and even I can edit when I want the ads ran.
Standard for a partnered streamer was 3 minutes of ads per hour, you can run less only if you specifically alter your contract to run less, in which case you make concession elsewhere (worse sub split, worse ad split or lower signing bonus), as he does.As an affiliate streamers you should know better. You cannot opt out of ads as a contracted partner streamer, you cannot run zero ads unless you're under a grandfathered contract and even then you have to run pre-rolls. Top streamers are running 3 minute minimums and up to 6-7 minutes per hour. It's okay to admit you're wrong

Disguised Toast who has fukk you money from Facebook and had leverage when re-signing with Twitch, since YouTube was also trying to sign him, still has an ad quota even though he doesn't want to. That should tell you everything you need to know. And with Twitch making changes and pressing to finally turn profit you better believe everybody, Hasan and Toast included, will be running way more ads on their next contract.
