Akata? Young Thug justified?

I been seeing Africans throwing that word around a lot since Young Thug said what he said

Before everyone jumps in with wrong definitions of the word...

Akata is a Yoruba term used to refer to American black people. It literally means stray cat (and fox) who has wandered away from its home.

Having said that, are there some people who use it negatively? Yes. But those are almost exclusively Africans who live in America. (in my personal experience)

If you go to Nigeria and someone calls you an Akata, they are basically saying "you're from America."
If someone in America says "look at this Akata"... they are probably insulting you on some level tbh.

Honestly its the 1st and 2nd generation Nigerians who have made this word far far far more malicious than it ever was before.
