One of the most underrated (outside of other jazz musicians) artists I think of the past 40 years, dude never got the credit he deserved in his time and as a result kinda gets swept under the rug for great vocalists and overall artists of the era. Neo-Soul/Alternative R and B would not exist the way it does without his contributions.

Al Jarreau's voice does nothing but bring back memories of my childhood.
It seemed like he was always on in the background.

Its crazy watching some of the videos posted in here...brought back a rush of memories.

Same for me. Just hearing him reminds me of being a kid in the 80s again. "Spain" specifically brings back alot of good memories dancing in front of the record player.
