you're approaching all of this from a doomsday perspective. Iran getting a nuke simply means the west and everyone in the region is going to be forced to take their demands and threats serious. and Isreal is no longer going to be able to sh*t on Palestine. obviously it's easier to combat that by preventing them from obtaining one but the potential middle east arms race it would cause, is hardly going to end with everyone with their finger on the button.
