According to you, Al-Jazeera is hell bent on discrediting Israel and its Western allies hence they would produce any piece of documentation that would embarrass both. The Guardian validates this leak as legitimate and credible and the Guardian is UK-based (Western-based news outlet) hence if both Western and perceived non-Western news outlets are deeming this leak is legitimate then it is. The perception that Al-Jazeera is leaking these cables for the sole purpose of embarrassment goes out the window.

One more thing: we are talking nuclear weapons here and possibly going to war with a nation (Iran) that one side PERCEIVES (not confirmed by intelligence) of having nuclear weapons. I don't think you should be that dismissive about this report. I can't think of an event in recent history in which one country decided to go to war with another because the leader of the invading country thought there were WMDs or nuclear weapons and resulted in many dead, economically costly. i dont think iran is developing whole nukes right now. i think iran wants to be at a point where it can fire up its shyt and put a nuke together like a lego set. and i think obamas deal might let them do it, but i haven't got the specifics on the deal so I don't know.
