North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
vs USC.

The game was in Arlington Texas which is a short fly away from Tuscaloosa (605 miles).

Their other 3 non conference games were against cup cakes.

On top of that the rest of their road games are all less than that short trip to Arlington.
The SEC championship game was next door in Atlanta.
Their game against Washington is in Atlanta again.
If they make it to the championship game its a short trip to Florida.

I'm not trying to discredit Alabama, but when you don't have to travel far to games, it has an advantage.

When Flordia won the national title in 2008, they only left the state of Florida 3 times :mindblown: and 2 of those games were in Tennessee.

Tuscaloosa to Arlington (605 miles)
Tuscaloosa to Fayetteville (577 miles)
Tuscaloosa to Baton Rouge (348 miles)
Tuscaloosa to Knoxville (313 miles)
Tuscaloosa to Atlanta (202 miles)
Tuscaloosa to Oxford (165 miles)

That's 2,210 miles Alabama has traveled this season. Plus, we've had one the toughest schedules in the country this season, I know you're not trying to discredit them but the same people saying we haven't played anyone or we ain't all that are the same ones that didn't think we'd be 13-0 :manny:

Those distances are nothing when you're taking a chartered flight.

But I only used Alabama to stress a more mainstream argument of players getting paid to play. They are too pampered as the system is currently constructed. They don't have to go through the rigors of a pro level schedule or regimen.

And I also want to speak on coaches like Nick Saban hating on Jim Harbaugh traveling to SEC states to do pop up camps. They have year round access to athletes and basically want to keep them all in the south.
