No not at all, the game will give you a lowdown of what happened before anyway.
I ran through the first one a few weeks before, but you can honestly watch a YouTube summary. There are a lot of callbacks to Control and AW1 so some of that will go over your head but you can follow the basic plot easily
Just got this game yesterday
Only like an hour or 2 in…but it’s really interesting
The actual gameplay is a little repetitive with doing all the clue stuff in the “mind place”…I guess If you are actually trying to figure it on your own, it’s cool…but ultimately I’m just placing the clues to keep the game moving forward lol
But the story and visuals are A1 so it keeps your attention

It clear Alan wake 2 wouldn’t be the game it is under microsofts management structure. shyt, if they bought Remedy when they did Alan Wake theres a good chance they wouldn’t even currently exist

Beat the first game on the 360.
Tried Control, but honestly wasn’t feeling it too much. Story was taking too damn long to develop.
Yeah it's not as linear as AW. I'm more of a linear fan myself, but I'm trying to beat Control now. I own AW 2 so I'm gonna try and beat Control before I continue AW 2.
Glad QB isn't apart of the universe or it would take me a long time.
