That's bs cuz any lawyer could prove that I was trolling then

That's a light sentence if anything

I've seen people get away with far worse in court
How is it trolling if the people believe you are being sincere? Couldn't you tell people to do anything and then say you were just trolling after they do it to absolve yourself from responsibility :jbhmm:

‘No pressure of trail of exchanges’…. He offered them $9 Million??:wtf:

Doesn’t matter if you actually have it or not, offering someone money (real or not) to murder someone is pretty obvious solicitation.
Sigh

I'm not talking about him. For fukk sake take it off the fake millionaire

I'm saying in general when there's no pressure or long streams of planned texts for premeditation, nothing just random dares

Let's say in a group chat, Coliman says Hey Jetman I'll give u $10 mil right now to break MalcolmXXX's leg lol

Unbeknownst to everyone in the chat, Jetman actually went and broke Malc's leg

Cops show up and say Coliman u going to jail for soliciting Jetman to break Malc's legs

U don't see anything odd in that scenario? We're not talking about many texts back and forth saying i'll pay u, dont worry, the money is in my account, i need proof of his broken leg, do it when he's getting mail etc. Nah not that.

I'm saying just random group text or in real life spoken dares

Coliman just goes straight to jail because he said it?

That's wild to me. The amount of wild things I and many people have said to each other would throw us all in jail if one person actually decided to take us seriously and go do it then

Any poster that says nikka kill yaself could go to jail then if someone actually committed suicide.

"How do we know u were trolling?" lmao

Maybe we're not speaking on the same wavelength so I'll let this one go

From the little bit I've read, none of that applies to the specific case. That's why you're getting backlash :manny:

It's just a side conversation about where the line is drawn for curiosity sake
Can a charge come from just spoken conversation? What about a text? What if it's a dare and someone does it?

What if you dare a stranger to jump off a building and they do it? Do u go to jail now?

I get that they get charged because it gives motive but where is the line drawn from something random is said or implied to someone was heavily pressured to do something?

Do u get my point?
I think it comes down to the solicitation of murder. The fact that there's a transcript for what was said is pretty damning.

Something spontaneous and said in jest wouldn't carry the same weight.

Yes to every single one of those scenarios. Human life isnt something speak lightly about. Id put this type of speech in the same category as yelling "there is a fire" on a crowded movie theater, triggering a stampede, and then saying "just kidding, guys teeehee".

This type of speech isnt protected. And there is no reason to protect it.
